Client Service Coordinator (Scheduler)

Lower Mainland, BC, Canada | Full Time | Experienced

Responsibilities

Communicate professionally and engage with patients, families, staff, and funder organizations.
Process inquiries and handle funder referrals and updates in the EMR system.
Review and collaborate with Supervisors, field employees, and clients to assess service needs.
Schedule and assign care providers based on client needs, geographic area, staff skill-set, and availability.
Coordinate and ensure consistent homecare assignments and service delivery; notify and keep clients and staff informed of initial and ongoing schedules.
Optimize staff schedules to meet their availability and client care needs, document and maintain accurate records in the EMR system, and resolve patient concerns promptly following escalation pathways as required.

Qualifications and Experience

Minimum of two years of related customer service experience, preferably in healthcare or another high-paced customer service environment.
Proven customer service skills with the ability to handle issues and problem-solve with tact and diplomacy.
Strong ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, in English.
Excellent computer skills including Windows, Microsoft Office, and EMR systems with advanced competency in keyboarding and scheduling software.
Proven organizational and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and handle multiple demands in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills including demonstrated ability to build rapport and connections, with knowledge of terminology used in nursing and home health care.

Conditions of Employment

Secondary School Diploma required; completion of a related certificate or diploma such as Medical Terminology or Office Administration is preferred.
Criminal Record Check is required prior to employment.
Annual flu vaccine is highly recommended.
Fast-paced office environment requiring extended computer and telephone use throughout the day.
Positive work and attendance performance is essential to the role.
